When I walked in, I was warm. I thought to myself should I go in? If I go in, will I get hurt? Will I get cold?
“It’s not that bad”, I told myself as we walked through the stream at the mouth of the cave.
It got darker, colder and more slippery. We came to a steep shaft that Mrs Norrie and I slid down. It was fun. I wanted my feet to carry me safely the rest of the way. I did not take my eyes off them.
When I got out I was covered with mud, and I was warm again.
