“Run, run, run!” I was excited. Sprinting to the cricket nets we go. I got ready. “Batsmen up!” I went down the long, waiting, green pitch.

“Come on. Throw the ball to me”. After a bit, my cousin bowled it to me “Bash!” I smashed the ball past Kensington and past the glowing, burning sun. It looked like the sun was about to catch it. New batsman up! It was my cousin’s turn. “Get ready!” I yelled over again and again. He got ready and went sprinting down the pitch with joy. “I’m ready”, he said in an echoing voice. I took my run up. “Woosh!” I threw it to my cousin. He missed it completely. “Bowled!” I had knocked over the stumps.

“I win!” I said in a loud, bragging voice. After a while, we packed up all our gear. It was as heavy as an enormous elephant but we still ran, ran, ran, home.
